Greek & Hebrew Summer Readers

1 Corinthians 1 – 4

Looking to improve your Greek over the summer? Join us as we read the Greek text of 1 Corinthians 1–4 on Monday mornings.

Purpose: The Reader is intended to help students develop their proficiency in Greek regardless of their current skill level in the language.

Method: During our hour together, we will focus on translation, parsing, and syntax. Each student will be given the opportunity to translate the text and will be asked questions about the text. The questions will be tailored to the students current skill level in Greek and students will always have the option of passing on questions. Through translating and analyzing the text, we anticipate that students will grow in their competence in the language.

Tools: Students are asked to bring any Greek New Testament to the Reader. Copies of NA28 and UBS5 can be borrowed from the library. Students are also encouraged to bring a copy of BDAG to the Reader.
